Happy Earth DAY!!

We celebrated Earth Day surrounded by all the rich colors and textures of spring!!

The sunshine came out just in time for us to do our annual scavenger hunt. [2012!!!!]

Chalk scavenger hunt idea via Nurture Store

Frankie helped me “set up” our hunt while the big kids were at school. She collected tiny sticks and soft blades of grass for nearly an hour. Every time I emptied her basket she would immediately get to work at filling it up again.

The hunt is ON!

Spring always reminds me of this GREAT BIG playground God gave us to enjoy (and take care of)! Our very own back yard is full of treasures!

In these moments of simplicity, beauty and magic my heart just wants to explode with gratitude to God. I am so thankful that though my children… I see HIM. Loud and clear these kids are hugs from our Creator.

Thank you heavenly Father for pink princesses, soft light and unfinished dolls houses.

Thank you, God, for these quiet, playful moments.
