A Prayer

This extraordinary prayer has been on my heart lately.

I wanted to share it with all of you and especially with my amazing husband and dear friends C.B. and H.P.

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.

Sunshine in a Box

Sending SUNSHINE in the MAIL!

My dear friend Kate and I made this Sunshine-in-a-Box to send off to a family who is going through some hard, hard times.  We thought a burst of yellow “sunshine” might give them a smile or two!  We included a little craft for the kids and lots of sweet goodies.

Here is box all packaged up and ready to send out—

This morning…

We played dress up.  Our costume box was emptied, explored and enjoyed.

We fed swans in our back yard.  WOW is all I can say to that small slice of heaven.

We felt loved by God.

I am reminded in the simple moments and miracles of our daily life that God is present in all we do.

His love is in our gifts, struggles and joys.

I love this passage from A Love Worth Giving, by Max Lucado…

“Gods loves you simply because he has chosen to do so.  He loves you when you don’t feel lovely.  He loves you when no one else loves you.  Others may abandon you, divorce you, and ignore you, but God will love you.  Always.  No mater what.”

“The Lord loves you.”

 Deuteronomy 7:8 NLT

THANKS God for loving us.

Thanks for sending us gifts wrapped up like swans and dress up clothes.

Thanks for loving us, even when we don’t feel worthy or lovely!
