Yes, for Halloween this year Blaise is dressing up as none other than BOB ROSS! This costume just makes me giggle! I’m sure a lot of folks won’t have a clue, but for real Bob fans this costume might bring a smile! If you aren’t familiar with Bob, he is truly a unique character. Here he is on Wiki… don’t ya see the similarities?
Blaise calls his costume BOB the PAINTER!

Blaise painted the “Happy Tree” and I added the frame from Goodwill. This might be my favorite part of the costume!

I had a vision for her room;
it would decorated with nothing but sweet vintage Kewpie dolls and antique lovelies.
Her space would be perfect, pink and PRETTY!
My vision lasted a week, maybe two!!
As for now
forty percent of the walls are decorated with custom crayon and sharpie art,
the Kewpie dolls and antique toys got a little too much love (aka broken),
and after a wild jumping escapade her “vintage” bed canopy spindle cracked off!
And you know what?
Because the only thing her room needs
to be perfectly perfect is HER!
PS I took these photos on the only space that wasn’t ”well-loved-destroyed” — she was standing on her dresser!
Seven years and counting!
We are still going strong.
This summer tradition is definitely a KIDDO favorite.
Pops, my dad, is blame for the madness because he started this tradition when I was a kid!
1. Make a cardboard box ice cream stand! Here.
2. Treat dollies to lunch & a book under a sunny sky! (2010)
3. Go on a HAPPY HUNT! Hide smiley faces in the neighborhood and see who can find the most! Here.
4. Host an outside ART GALA! Mom and dad bid on their favorite preschool materpieces. (2010)
5. TOO hot to have an afternoon picnic?? How ’bout a breakfast picnic?
6. Make an outdoor fishbowl! Jumping, swimming and “catching fish” optional! (2010) Here.
7. Make a unmeltable banana split! Cotton balls + Paper Scraps + Real Sprinkles (2010)
While the boys were out fishin Emerson and I had some GIRLY time!!
We whipped up some face makeup by mixing baby shampoo and dab gel food coloring.
Her dolls got the FULL treatment!
I’m so thankful I have a little lady in my life!! Her enthusiasm for girly things is so much fun.
I’m not sure if her dollies appreciated their make-overs, but Emerson sure enjoyed every single second.
