Little Golden Shoes

Our New Easter Tradition: Little Golden Shoes

“Meaningful family traditions give our hectic lives some predictability and provide a sense of security and comfort.”  Mary LoVerrde

What I love most about holiday and everyday traditions is that they encourage us to pause and reconnect as a family.   Simple traditions connect us to memories of the past and bring new hope to the present.  This year we added the lovley story,  “The Country Bunny and the Little Golden Shoes”  by Duebose Heyword to our Easter tradition list.  We painted a little pair of antique baby shoes and on Easter weekend each child is going to add a hand painted story card to the shoe box.  When the kids are all grown they will have an heirloom of artwork and memories to share with their children!

New to us!

This will be our first year exploring the story of Easter using Resurrection Eggs!
Each day we plan on including simple stories, questions, artwork and a bible reading.  I’ll let ya know how it goes.
These would be super simple to make on your own too!

St. Patty’s Day Style Kindness!

Two for YOU!

We are ALL set for TOMORROW!

To celebrate St. Patty’s the leprechauns are going to “drop” some these around town!

We hope whoever finds ”a lucky shamrock” will get a laugh or two.

Back of flag reads:  TWO for YOU!  If you find this Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  YES, it is real.  YES, it is for you.  ENJOY!   :)

I can’t believe we are on WEEK 11 of 52 SMILES

I have a kindness challenge coming SOON! I better get moving. Before we know it will be APRIL.  How is that possible?
